One thing I’ve learned over the years is that dogs really do bring out the honesty in us. Our furry family members are probably the most truthful beings on earth.
We often don’t get time to reflect on how we are feeling, and really don’t encourage ourselves to let loose, or relax.
Our dogs often mirror our emotional state in their behavior around others or just with you. If you are feeling excited, especially coming home to your dog, you can see how their expressions are ignited. If you are feeling nervous/anxious, your dog can mimic your emotions and represent it in a negative way with other dogs.
Therefore, the next time you see a distinctive characteristic in your dog’s behavior, check yourself and decipher your emotional state.
Let's start off the New Year by being honest with ourselves and reflect on our feelings.
You’ve probably heard this a million times: “You can’t take care of others until you take care of Yourself!”
